take up in the German Association Model Railroad of GDR (DMV),
Bezirksvorstand of Cottbus as an activity of 2/12 Zittau

1967

associated as an activity model railroad with the Youth Club House "Grüner Ring" (Green ring) Zittau, Frauenstrasse 20 
-purchase of the 2nd working club rooms in the Geschwister-Scholl-Strasse 2 (today Bohemian street) 
-meanwhile torn off and replaced by a new building

1968

realisation of the 1st big exhibition in the youth club house "Grüner Ring" (Green ring) Zittau, 
-meanwhile torn off in part 

1971

the first community model railroad participated at the exhibition of the International Model Railroad Congress (MOROP congress) in Dresden 
-beginning to build the 2nd community model railroad

1977

purchase of the 3rd working club rooms in the "Mandau-Kaserne", Martin-Wehnert-Platz 2

beginning of the regular model railroad exhibitions in the "Mandau-Kaserne"

1990

First meeting with friends of the Villinger Eisenbahn-Club (VEC) within the framework of the city partnership between Zittau and Villingen-Schwenningen

transformation into the Zittauer Model Railroad Club e.V. (ZiMEC)

registration under VR 185 into the association register of the district court Zittau 
-take up into the Saechsische Modellbahner-Vereinigung (SMV) -number 212

start of building of the narrow trace plant "Zittau-Vorstadt" in the HOe / measure nominal size 1:87

realisation of the 20th exhibition, for the last time in the "Mandau-Kaserne", after that removal into the 4th working club rooms in the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Strasse 34 (Gerhart-Hauptmann-Street 34)

1998

realisation of the 21st exhibition, for the first time in the new rooms

1999

the Narrow Trace Plant, still being under construction, is shown in the current configuration, with 2 new dividing and the railway station of the health resort Oybin

2000

a Video-train transmits the ride during a live television show of the model landscape in the nominal size HO from the perspective of the train driver in the control trailer cab 
-the landscape and buildings of the new Narrow Trace Plant are finished and are shown at the annual exhibition 

2001

exhibition of the narrow trace modules at the "MODELL und BAHN" (Model and Railway) in Goerlitz, on the "Day of the Sachsen" in Zittau, we show our narrow trace plant in the former dining-room of the Zittauer central station

2002

40 years ZiMEC,
-a delegation of the International Model Railroad Organisation "MOROP" visited other club

the narrow trace modules participated at the exhibition of the International Model Railroad Congress (MOROP congress) in Dresden
